Five OHS Tips


  1. Regular breaks at least every hour with micro breaks every 5-10 mins
  2. Document holder should be as close to the monitor as possible in a position that causes the least amount of twisting or inclination of the head 
  3. Monitor should be set at a distance that allows you to focus easily on the screen typically within a arms length
  4. Adjust the height of your work surface/chair so that the work surface allows your elbows to be bent at a 90 degree angle with forearms parallel with the floor, wrists straight and shoulders relaxed. 
  5. Keyboard should be placed in a position that will allow the forearms to be close to the horizontal and the wrists to be straight.
